EMPOWERING EDUCATION

The Citizen Foundation (TCF):

Soneri Bank is committed towards promoting education, to strengthen the youth of Pakistan for a stronger future. In line with this vision, we sponsored the school fee, uniforms and books for two classrooms (total 64 children) for a full year at Captain Karim Campus, TCF Secondary School, Karachi.

SOCIAL WELFARE

Ration Distribution Drive:

“Small Acts of Kindness Can Make a Big Impact” This Ramadan Soneri Bank gave back to the community by distributing Ration bags and providing food to the needy through our branches all over Pakistan. Ration Bags/essential food items were distributed amongst our entire non-clerical staff (NCS), to provide them relief during the holy month of Ramadan. Soneri Bank branches also took the initiative of distributing food in their respective neighborhoods to help the less fortunate. Soneri Bank, believes in working diligently towards promoting a supportive and inclusive workplace culture and creating value in the lives of others, by giving back to the society and fostering a sense of community within the workplace.

Attock Sahara Foundation Exhibition – Meena Bazaar – 2023:

Attock Sahara Foundation (ASF), a non-pro­t NGO, is working to uplift the marginalized segment of the community. ASF provides scholarships, ­nancial assistance, marriage support fund, poor patient fund and Zakat to the needy people. To support ASF in generating funds for these objectives Soneri Bank Limited sponsored “ASF Annual Meena Bazaar” in March, 2023 in Rawalpindi.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI):

Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) is the most vibrant Trade Association of Pakistan. Established in 1970, it is spread over an area of 8500 acres and caters to more than 4500 industrial, trade, commercial, and service concerns which operate in Korangi Industrial Area. In order to support and encourage increased trade relations among industrial players in through KATI, Soneri Bank sponsored the KATI newsletter which is circulated to members from industries like pharmaceutical, textile and others.

Vatan Gujrati Navroz Mubarak Supplement:

Vatan Gujrati is Pakistan’s most widely circulated Gujrati language daily published from Karachi. Soneri Bank always supports all regional publications and communities. This year Soneri Bank partnered with them to celebrated Navroz through Vatan Gujrati’s special supplement.

Pakistan Hindu Council Job Fair:

Soneri Bank participated in the job fair hosted by Pakistan Hindu Council, at Karachi Expo Center. The event aimed to provide an excellent opportunity for talented individuals to explore exiting career prospects within the organization.

Rotary Club Sponsorship:

Rotary Club of Karachi has taken up numerous projects to serve the community in the last 89 years. This year they organized “The London Night” 2023 in Karachi, which was sponsored by Soneri Bank to raise funds for projects related to literacy, peace, health, scholarship and humanitarian services.

PROMOTING SPORTS

Inter Firms Table Tennis Championship 2023:

Inter Firms Table Tennis Championship 2023 was organized by Alishan Table Tennis Club in 2023 at Sindh Sports Board, Karachi and sponsored by Soneri Bank as an effort to encourage the youth to take up the sport and also to encourage people of all ages to embrace the sport.

CELEBRATING CULTURE & HERITAGE

Sindh Rural Support Organization Exhibition:

Sindh Rural Support Organization organized a “12th Sartyoon Sang Crafts Exhibition” which was held in February 2023 at Ocean Mall, Karachi, sponsored by Soneri Bank. the exhibition had a wide mixture of Sindh’s handicrafts made by rural women were exhibited, including home textiles, baskets, jewellry, dresses, dupattas and shawls, embellished with traditional embroidery and cutwork. The event was an initiative to provide market links to rural women and artisans.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

Women Leaders’ Summit:

New World Concept, a Marketing and Management Consultancy, organized “Women Leaders’ Summit” on 31st January, 2023 in Movenpick Hotel, Karachi. The conference was a platform for dynamic leaders, entrepreneurs, opinion makers from across the world, to come and share their success story and inspire many more to take their lead. Soneri Bank participated by acquiring a table of eight delegates to attend exclusive round table mentoring sessions.

Global DEI Conference:

Diversity Hub-HR Metric organized a two day Global DEI Conference in Karachi in March, 2023 to recognize organizations with diversity, equity and inclusion accomplishments as per the Global DEI benchmarks Standards which was sponsored by Soneri Bank.

Soneri Bank has taken several initiatives to make the bank a more inclusive organization and awarded along with other winning companies including banks.

ENVIRONMENTAL CARE

Rung Do Pakistan:

WWF is one of the world’s largest and recognized nature conservation organization. To promote Green Banking, Soneri Bank joined hands with WWF for contributing through employee activity “Rung Do Pakistan” which included a tree plantation drive on 3rd March, 2023 in Islamabad.
